I was very excited to receive my surprise backing and knew I didn’t want Lori Holt but I love the rest of Riley Blake designers, so I picked Riley Blake. Unfortunately, I assumed I wouldn’t get a Lori Holt piece because that’s a separate choice. I got a Lori Holt piece. I’ll be giving it away so I’m not that upset and should have double checked before purchasing.

Perfect in every way! I had to wait, but it was worth it.

Overall, I was happy with the Christmas fabric scrap bag. The fabric pieces were good sizes, and the quality was nice. My only disappointment was that I expected more festive, clearly Christmas-themed fabrics. Some fabrics may have been from Christmas collections, but you would never know they were Christmas fabrics just by looking at them. I was hoping for a more fun and “Christmassy” feel.

I was excited to try the Stash Builder’s Bag but ended up disappointed. For the price, I expected better value, and I didn’t love the quilt pattern I received. I was also confused about the included sewing notion. My order included embroidery scissors, which were packed separately with crochet hooks and cross-stitch needles, so I wasn’t sure if those were meant to be the sewing notion for the bag. As someone who sews and quilts, I expected something more sewing-related. Of course, mystery bags are very personal, and others may have a different experience, but this one didn’t feel worth the money for me.

I was very happy with my Multi stripe fabric. The colors were a tiny bit muted which is what I prefer. I am thinking of using it a vintage pattern or a baby quilt.
