Lori Holt Calico Garden Sew Along - Inside Scoop
Have you ever participated in a Lori Holt sew-along?
Let me give you the run down.
Three or four times a year, Lori hosts a sew along where you make a quilt she has designed. Typically these are block of the month style quilts that are great skill builders and introduce you to all kinds of new fun blocks and sewing styles. They usually incorporate Lori's unique applique method using her templates.
A few things I love about Lori's sew alongs:
- The pattern and sewing guide for the sew along is free! Lori usually posts the guide on her blog for a free download. Click here to check out here blog!
- She has a great YouTube channel full of helpful videos that can help you as you go along.
- Lori makes the quilt right along with you so you can see exactly how to make each block.
- From the start she gives you a calendar that clearly outlines the timing for the blocks and finishing the quilt. Fall behind? No problem! She leaves the videos and guide up so you can sew at your pace!
