In our neck of the woods life is a little more hectic than usual with the end of the school year! My kids are all BEYOND excited for it to be done and I'm excited for a slower pace...but also gearing myself up for bored kids and a messier house :) Trade-offs, right? 

I haven't ever made a quilt for one of my children's teachers but my son that is in 3rd grade has had the best teacher and I'm really considering making her a quilt that I could gift her at the end of the summer. We will see if I can make it happen! 

Schoolhouse Quilt Pattern

To celebrate the end of the school year I thought it would be fun to feature this adorable school pattern by Modalissa. The alternating school houses have a fun shadow effect that is really great. I love her mockups in other colors - the red schoolhouses are adorable!

This quilt has pretty minimal fabric requirements, only needing 6 FQs for the schools and 3 1/2 yards of background fabric. 

With a finished size of 57" x 69" its a great size quilt!
